This policy applies to the ShiftMate Android application, package com.pixelgroup.shiftmate. It explains how the app handles information on your device and when information may be processed by services you use with the app.

QuantPixel Group s. r. o. is the publisher responsible for ShiftMate and the contact for questions about its privacy practices. Google Play and Android backup providers are responsible for their respective services, as described below.

2. About ShiftMate

ShiftMate helps you plan and understand your work schedule. You can create shift types and repeating work cycles, view your Calendar, adjust individual days, record additional shifts, and review work statistics.

Optional ShiftMate Pro features include salary estimates, reports, and home-screen widgets.

Salary figures are estimates calculated from the schedule information and settings you enter. They are not payroll records and do not constitute tax, legal, employment, or financial advice.

ShiftMate does not require or create a ShiftMate account. We do not operate a publisher-hosted account system, schedule database, salary database, or cloud-synchronization service for the app.

The app does not include advertising or publisher-operated analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services.

3. Data stored locally on your device

ShiftMate stores information in its private local app storage to provide the features you choose to use. This may include:

  • Shift types, including names, short labels, times, breaks, and colors.
  • Work cycles and their repeating sequence of days.
  • Schedule assignments and reference dates.
  • Manual day-plan changes, including days off, vacation, and sick leave.
  • Additional shifts and optional notes.
  • Salary settings, premiums, and fixed monthly adjustments.
  • Holiday jurisdiction, holiday options and dates, and weekend-premium settings.
  • Preferences such as language, theme, Calendar display, setup state, and widget settings.
  • A limited ShiftMate Pro entitlement cache containing access state, store or acquisition source, and verification timestamps.

Schedule generation, work statistics, and salary estimates are calculated locally. Your schedule and salary inputs are not automatically uploaded to QuantPixel Group.

The entitlement cache does not contain purchase tokens, order IDs, payment-card or bank details, Google account identifiers, passwords, or raw Google Play purchase records.

Home-screen widgets use the same local schedule and preference data. They do not synchronize your schedule to a ShiftMate server or initiate purchases.

4. Google Play Billing

ShiftMate uses Google Play Billing for optional ShiftMate Pro purchases, checking and restoring current purchase ownership, acknowledging purchases, and opening subscription management.

The app may connect to Google Play when its main interface is brought to the foreground and when you start a purchase or restore action. Product availability and displayed purchase prices are supplied by Google Play.

ShiftMate receives the purchase and entitlement information needed to determine whether Pro features should be available. Purchase tokens may be processed temporarily in memory to acknowledge a purchase, but ShiftMate does not persist purchase tokens, raw purchase JSON, or order IDs in its local entitlement cache.

Google Play provides the checkout interface and processes payments. ShiftMate does not receive or store payment-card details, bank-account details, Google passwords, or payment credentials.

There is no publisher-operated purchase server to which ShiftMate sends purchase tokens, raw purchase records, or order IDs.

Google processes information for its services under its own terms and privacy practices. See the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Play Billing diagnostics

ShiftMate uses Google Play Billing to process optional purchases and subscriptions. Google Play Billing may automatically transmit limited technical and diagnostic information to Google services for billing operation, reliability, diagnostics and service analytics. This may include technical application, device and billing-client event metadata.

ShiftMate does not receive or store users’ payment card details. Payment processing is handled by Google Play.

This diagnostic transmission is separate from the shift, calendar and salary information that users enter into ShiftMate. ShiftMate processes that information locally; user-initiated exports and eligible Android backup/device transfer remain as described in sections 5 and 6.

5. Data sharing, reports, and printing

ShiftMate does not send your schedule or salary inputs to advertising or analytics services.

When you choose to export a Calendar or salary report, the app creates a PDF or PNG locally in its private report cache. Depending on the report, it may contain schedule details, notes, working hours, salary settings, or estimated earnings.

The Android Share or Print interface opens only after you choose the corresponding action. A report is made available to the application, printer, service, or recipient you select. That destination handles its copy under its own policies.

ShiftMate does not automatically upload reports.

Google Play purchase operations and eligible Android backup or device-transfer operations involve their respective providers. These are separate from a ShiftMate publisher-hosted service.

6. Android backup and device transfer

Depending on your Android version, device settings, and backup provider, selected ShiftMate data may be included in Android system backup or device-to-device transfer.

ShiftMate’s backup rules allow its main local database and main app preferences under configured encryption or transfer conditions. The Pro entitlement cache and temporary report cache are excluded from these backup allowlists.

For Android 8.0–8.1, ShiftMate is configured not to back up app data. On supported newer Android versions, cloud backup is subject to the encryption conditions in the app’s backup rules. Device-to-device transfer is handled separately by Android.

Backup availability, transfer behavior, encryption capability, retention, and deletion are controlled by your device, system settings, and backup provider.

ShiftMate does not operate the backup service and does not guarantee unconditional end-to-end encryption. Because system backup and user-initiated sharing may transfer data, this policy does not claim that all information always remains on the original device.

7. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored schedule information and settings remain on your device until you change or delete them through the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app.

You can delete supported records through ShiftMate’s normal controls. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the app’s local data from that device. A device reset may also remove local data, subject to the reset and restoration options provided by Android.

Temporary report files are subject to cleanup after 24 hours, and the report cache retains at most 16 recent files.

Deleting local data does not necessarily delete:

  • Copies held in Android system backups.
  • Data already transferred to another device.
  • Reports saved or shared with another application, service, printer, or recipient.
  • Purchase or transaction records held by Google Play.

Those copies are subject to the relevant provider’s or recipient’s retention and deletion rules. Restoring an eligible Android backup may restore previously backed-up ShiftMate data.

ShiftMate does not create an online account or publisher-hosted user profile, so there is no separate ShiftMate account-deletion process.

8. Security and device permissions

ShiftMate uses Android’s private app storage and app-sandbox protections. Its backup rules restrict eligible data and apply encryption-related conditions where supported by Android.

The security of information also depends on your device, operating system, screen-lock settings, installed applications, backup provider, and the destinations you choose for exported reports. No storage or transfer method can be guaranteed completely secure.

ShiftMate does not request access to your location, contacts, Android Calendar, camera, microphone, SMS, call history, advertising identifier, or broad media and storage collections.

The app does not request dangerous user-facing runtime permissions. Its release build includes normal platform permissions used by Google Play Billing and AndroidX widget support, including Internet connectivity and network-state access. These permissions do not mean that your schedule or salary inputs are uploaded to the publisher.

9. Children

ShiftMate is a work-scheduling and salary-estimation utility intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not designed for or marketed to children.

The app does not operate a child-account system or publisher-hosted collection service for children’s information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ShiftMate’s data handling changes or when clarification is needed.

The current published version will show its effective date and last-updated date. Please review this policy when using a new version of the app.

The English version is the governing version of this policy. Any published translations are provided to make the policy easier to understand.
